School Catering
Our school meals are produced by Kingswood Catering in our kitchen.
Meals are £2.30 per day £11.50 per week.
Parents are requested to order and pay for their child’s meal on line.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (Universal Free School Meals)
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are automatically entitled to free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.

Year 3 and above
Universal Free School Meals do not apply any longer. If families are on certain benefits, they can apply for Free School meals. This means that the school will automatically get a pupil premium amount for free school meals for the pupil.
Qualifying benefits
- Universal Credit (annual net income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income Support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or income-based Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guarantee element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying)
The application outcome will be confirmed instantly and emailed to you with a reference number. North Nortamptonshire Council will process the application and will notify your child's school within 5 working days. Pupil premium is automatically applied for at the same time.

Information on Healthy Teeth and Healthy Snacks
Information about how to keep teeth healthy for babies and Toddlers – See below:
Do:
- Start brushing your baby’s teeth as soon as they appear
- Brush their teeth twice a day using family toothpaste containing 1450 ppm fluoride, a smear of toothpaste for children under 3 year and a small pea-sized amount for children over 3
- Help your child brush twice a day for at least 2 minutes, children up to 7 years old will need help with tooth brushing
- Encourage your child to spit after brushing, but not to rinse
- Support your child to use a free flowing cup or a cup without a lid (value cups are not recommended)
- Encourage your child to enjoy healthy snacks and drinks, plain milk and water are the safest drinks to have between meals.
- Discard dummies for children over 1 year old
- Ensure all medicines are sugar free
- Visit your dentist regularly and take your baby along, it’s never too early.
Healthy Snacks
Fresh fruit, Fruit kebabs, Cherry tomatoes, vegetable sticks of cucumber, carrot or celery. Dips such as hummus, guacamole and salsa. Toast with suitable spread. Homemade, unsalted popcorn. Crumpets or English muffins with savoury spread. Cheese cubes. Cheese triangles. Scones, plan or cheese. Plain yogurt with added fresh fruit for sweetness. Pitta bread. Bread-sticks. Rice cakes. Oatcakes. Naan breads.
