Visual Structure for Autistic Children

Note: This course runs over TWO days and BOTH days must be attended.                     

Day 1 Tues:  9.30am - 4.30pm    Day 2 Thurs:  9am - 4pm

Course Aims: 

• To develop the candidate's understanding of the four building blocks of visual structure (physical (environment), schedules, work systems and visual prompts) 
• To develop confidence implementing the effective use of a workstation and independent tray tasks 
• To experience putting the theory into practice on day two, interacting directly with students working at a range of cognitive levels and with a range of verbal communication skills
